French Toast without Milk

A French toast recipe without the milk for those who like a more solid French toast. My son’s friends liked this recipe and would ask for the recipe to take home for their moms to make. Serve with butter and syrup.


  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 slices white bread


Beat eggs in a mixing bowl. Add sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg; mix.

Preheat a skillet over medium-low heat and melt butter.

Dip slices of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are covered. Cook 2 slices at a time in the skillet until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Serve warm.

Total time: 25 mins
